Awa Samba

Awa Samba is an accomplished molecular technologist with extensive experience in next-generation sequencing and molecular testing. Currently serving as Molecular Technologist II at Tempus Labs, Inc., Awa has contributed to the development of the Tempus|xF liquid biopsy assay, which detects cell-free DNA in advanced solid tumor patients. Previous roles include Molecular Technologist I and various positions supporting nucleic acid extraction and compliance in clinical laboratory settings. Awa's background encompasses work as a molecular laboratory technician at Patients Choice Laboratories, an undergraduate research assistant at Purdue University Fort Wayne, and a certified nursing assistant at Golden Years Homestead, Inc. Awa holds a Master of Science in Pharmacogenomics from Manchester University, a Bachelor’s degree in Pre-Medicine from Purdue University Fort Wayne, and an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Biology from Ivy Tech Community College.
