Mark Carty

Mark Carty, Ph.D., is a seasoned computational biologist with extensive experience in developing statistical methods. Currently serving as a Senior Machine Learning Scientist at Tempus Labs, Inc. since August 2019, Mark has also held roles as a Machine Learning Scientist and Computational Scientist within the same organization. Prior to this, Mark was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Princeton University from October 2016 to February 2021. Earlier experience includes a position as a Graduate Research Assistant at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center from September 2010 to October 2016 and as an Adjunct Professor at City College of New York in 2009, where statistics and mathematics were taught to biology majors. Mark earned a Ph.D. in Computational Biology from Cornell University, a Master's degree in Mathematics from Arizona State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from The City University of New York.
