Tyler Hansen

Tyler Hansen, PhD, is currently an R&D Senior Scientist at Tempus AI, where they are focused on the continuous improvement and development of liquid biopsy molecular assays for cancer genomic profiling and detection. They completed a PhD at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, where their research resulted in two first-author publications and the development of ATAC-STARR-seq, a state-of-the-art NGS assay. Tyler also held postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Chicago and worked at the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, contributing to notable advancements in gene editing and molecular biology. Additionally, Tyler began their scientific journey as an undergraduate researcher at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
