Karan Desai

Karan Desai has worked in various roles since 2015. In 2015, they were a Trainee at Essar Steel, where they gained experience in production process, rolling, forming, nozzle fabrication, refractory dryout and quality control. In 2016, they joined System Engitech Pvt Ltd as a Project Manager -ASME U Designator and National Board R Stamp, Associate - Planning and Production and Project Coordinator - Certifications. In 2018, they started working at USC Viterbi Graduate and Professional Programs as a Communications Intern and at USC Viterbi School of Engineering as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and CEE Office Assistant. Since 2020, they have been working at Tenant Inc. as a Technical Project Manager and Project Analyst. In their role as Technical Project Manager, they have driven product development of a new PMS system, spearheaded the system architecture and database structure planning and execution, managed and executed timely product releases, piloted cross-functional and hybrid development teams, delivered Self-storage Industry core products and optimized and improved the testing and quality assurance procedure.

Karan Desai completed a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Mechanical Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology between 2012 and 2016. Karan then pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Engineering Management from the University of Southern California between 2018 and 2019. During this time, they also obtained a Graduate Certificate in Optimization and Supply Chain Management and an Enterprise Information Systems Specialization from the University of Southern California. In May 2019, Karan Desai was awarded the SAP Student Recognition Award from SAP Next-Gen. In August 2019, they were awarded the Certified Associate of Project Management from the Project Management Institute.
