Neal O. Shumway

Neal O. Shumway is the current VP of Structuring at Tenaska. Neal has over 25 years of experience in the energy industry.

Neal started their career at ConocoPhillips in 1991 as a Portfolio Management Consultant. Neal then moved to Aquila Energy in 1998 and became their VP of Alternative Risk. In this role, they created Aquila's Contingent Capital business and developed new products to hedge against commodity and contingent exposures.

In 2006, Neal joined FPL as their Director of Structured Products. Neal built and led the Risk Analytics group, which structured and priced all of NextEra Energy's wholesale deals. Neal also introduced and developed new product concepts during their time at FPL.

Neal has been with Tenaska since December 2007 and currently serves as their VP of Structuring.

Neal O. Shumway has a MSIA from Carnegie Mellon University in Economics, Strategy, and a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics from Brigham Young University.
