Michelle Corral has extensive work experience in corporate communications and investor relations, particularly in the biotechnology industry.

Michelle currently holds the position of VP, Corporate Communications and Investor Relations at Tenaya Therapeutics since March 2022.

Prior to this role, Michelle served as VP, Communications and Investor Relations at Alector from May 2021 to April 2022. During their tenure at Alector, they played a crucial role in establishing investor relations and corporate communications strategies, including executing a co-development/commercialization agreement with GSK and leading a corporate re-branding initiative. Additionally, they effectively conveyed complex proof-of-concept data and managed messaging related to C-suite departures.

Before joining Alector, Michelle worked at MyoKardia, where they held the positions of Executive Director, Corporate Communications and Investor Relations from January 2020 to February 2021, and Senior Director, Corporate Communications & Investor Relations from September 2017 to January 2020. While at MyoKardia, they built and led the communications functions as the company experienced significant growth in employee count and market capitalization, ultimately culminating in its acquisition by Bristol Myers Squibb.

Prior to MyoKardia, Michelle served as Senior Director, Investor Relations and Corporate Communications at OncoMed Pharmaceuticals from November 2014 to May 2017. In this role, they oversaw all investor and media relations activities, provided counsel on communication around corporate events and R&D milestones, and managed budgets for IR/PR functions.

Before their roles in the biotechnology industry, Michelle co-founded and served as a partner at BCC Partners from November 2001 to November 2014, where they provided corporate communications support to emerging biotechnology companies.

Their earlier career includes roles as Director of Public Relations at iGeneration from October 2000 to July 2001, and Manager of Public Relations and Publicity at CareGuide.com from January 1999 to July 2000. Michelle also gained valuable experience at Burns McClellan, where they held positions as Account Supervisor, Senior Account Executive, and Account Executive from 1995 to 1999. Michelle began their career as an Account Coordinator at Ketchum Public Relations from 1993 to 1995.

Michelle Corral obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Politics from the University of California, Santa Cruz, completing their education from 1989 to 1993.
