Soren Peterson has a diverse work experience in the biotechnology and healthcare industry. Soren currently holds the position of Vice President, Corporate Development (Head of Corporate Development) at Tenaya Therapeutics since February 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Senior Director, Corporate Development at Tenaya Therapeutics from July 2020 to February 2022, and as the Director, Corporate Development from July 2019 to June 2020.

Before joining Tenaya Therapeutics, Soren worked at Agios Pharmaceuticals, where they held the position of Associate Director, Business Development from 2017 to 2019, and Senior Manager, Business Development from 2015 to 2017.

Earlier in their career, Soren worked as an Engagement Manager at Health Advances from 2012 to 2015. Before that, they worked as a Consultant at Organ-i, Inc., a Stanford genomics startup, where they played a key role in building a clinical utility argument, assessing market potential, developing a commercialization strategy, and securing funding. Organ-i, Inc. was later acquired by Immucor.

Soren's early experience includes an internship as a Biodesign Intern at Versant Ventures in 2008 and a Research Internship at Amgen in 2005.

Soren Peterson completed their Bachelor's degree in Biology at Carleton College from 2001 to 2005. Following that, they pursued higher education at Stanford University School of Medicine, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biochemistry from 2005 to 2012.
