Jason Chang serves as Principal Legal Regulatory Counsel at Tencent since October 2023, providing legal support across various business groups including gaming, social media, and payments, with a focus on regulatory compliance in international and cross-border transactions. Prior to Tencent, Jason held the position of Of Counsel at DLA Piper from April 2013 to January 2023, advising multinational companies on global compliance and US-China regulatory challenges. Earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Legal Consultant at W&H Law Firm and representing clients in regulatory investigations as a Litigation and E-Discovery Attorney from 2009 to 2011. Jason holds a Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies and Rhetoric from the University of California, Berkeley, along with additional educational experiences in China and Washington D.C.
