Terry Gao is a highly experienced legal professional with a robust background in privacy, data protection, and software licensing. Currently serving as the Head of the International Privacy and Data Protection Department and the Group Data Protection Officer at Tencent since April 2020, Terry previously held roles as Team Lead in Software Licensing and Senior Legal Counsel. Prior experience includes serving as an Associate at Fenwick & West, where legal counsel was provided in various contexts, and at McCarthy Tétrault, where representation was offered to public-sector corporations on IT system projects.
