Delene Rankin

Director of Supportive Housing Services at Tenderloin Neighborhood Development

Delene joined the TNDC team in 2000. Born and raised in Brockton, Massachusetts, Delene holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Certificate in African Studies from the Five Colleges Consortium. After graduating, Delene joined the Peace Corps serving as an health educator in Nigeria for two years. After the Peace Corps she earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from the Tulane University School of Social Work and a Master’s degree in Public Health from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Delene began her career in social work as a family worker in a residential facility for teens focusing on family reunification. Before joining TNDC she spent four years as a medical social worker at an HIV/AIDS clinic in New Orleans.
