Bala Hota

Bala Hota is the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Tendo. Prior to this, Hota served as a consultant for Tempus Labs, Inc. and as the Chief Information Officer for the Cook County Health and Hospitals System.

Hota has been instrumental in developing standardized databases and genomics data integration activities. During their time as Chief Information Officer, Hota oversaw the IT enterprise for the Cook County Health and Hospitals System. Under Hota's leadership, the health system achieved meaningful use stage 1 for medicaid and medicare for two hospitals and for eligible providers. In addition, provider and clinic level dashboards were developed that monitored progress toward system goals; a Patient Centered Medical Home registry was implemented for the 1115 waiver project; and an enterprise data warehouse was developed that unified multiple legacy systems.

Bala Hota reports to Dan Goldsmith, CEO. They work with Jeffrey K. Rohrs - CMO, Graham Edwards - VP, Business Development, and Jennifer Goldsmith - President.
