Penny Kenerly

Penny Kenerly, M.Ed, RHIT, is a highly experienced professional in health information technology and coding education. Currently serving as a Remote Corporate Coding Educator at Tenet Healthcare since January 2021, Penny develops and delivers coding education across Tenet hospitals, reviews coding quality, and assists with internal auditing. Prior to this role, Penny worked as a Coding Auditor/Educator for Tanner Health System, focusing on coding data analysis and compliance. With a diverse background in instructional leadership as Director of Instruction at West Georgia Technical College and operational management as Chief Operating Officer at Southern Therapy Services, Penny has cultivated a strong foundation in health information management and education. Academic credentials include a Master of Education degree in Business/Technology Education and an Associate of Science in Health Information Technology.
