Steve Hubbard

Steve Hubbard has extensive work experience in engineering and leadership roles. Steve is currently serving as the Vice President of Engineering at Tennant Company since July 2021. Prior to this, they were a Mechanical Engineering Advisory Council member at the University of Minnesota starting from January 2020.

From 2015 to 2021, Steve worked at Thermo King and Trane Technologies, where they held various engineering leadership positions in the field of electrification technology. Steve was responsible for building engineering capabilities, ensuring the quality of engineering designs, and leading electrification projects.

Earlier in their career, Steve worked at Whirlpool Corporation as the General Manager of Global Program Management, where they led the development of new products and improved the product development stage-gate process. Steve also served as the Global Director of Laundry Technology, overseeing the design and development of new products and winning awards for design and innovation. Prior to these roles, they held several engineering positions at Whirlpool from 1996 to 2014.

Before joining Whirlpool, Steve worked at Ford Motor Company as a Manufacturing Engineer in 1995. Steve also served in the US Army as a Second Lieutenant in the Corps of Engineers from 1993 to 1995, gaining valuable leadership experience.

Steve Hubbard attended Purdue University from 1989 to 1993, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering. Steve'sfield of study included mechanics of materials and thermodynamics. Later, from 1997 to 1999, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Indiana University South Bend, focusing on marketing and business finance.
