Kevin L. Freeman

Kevin L. Freeman has had an extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Kevin L. started their career as an Associate at Latham & Watkins in 1994, followed by an Associate position at Jenner & Block from 1996 to 1998. Kevin L. then joined Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP as a Partner in 1999, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and commercial contracts. In 2012, Kevin became a Senior M&A Counsel at Accenture, where they were responsible for international and domestic transactions. In 2018, they joined Tenneco as the Vice President & Chief Counsel, handling finance, securities, and transactions. Kevin has also served in leadership positions, including Chairman of the Cook County Zoning Board of Appeals and Chairman of the Illinois Property Tax Appeal Board.

Kevin L. Freeman holds a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from the University of Chicago Law School, which they obtained from 1991 to 1994. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science from Northwestern University from 1987 to 1991. In 1990, they also completed a Certificate in Medieval Law & Government from the University of Oxford's St. John's College. In terms of additional certifications, Kevin has obtained an In-House Counsel Certification from the Association of Corporate Counsel and is a Signature Fellow of Leadership Greater Chicago. Kevin L. also holds a Lifeguard certification from the American Red Cross.
