George Pimentel

George Pimentel currently serves as the Associate Vice Chancellor at the Tennessee Board of Regents since July 2023. Previously, Pimentel held the position of President at Jackson State Community College from July 2020 to July 2023 and was the Vice President for Academic Affairs at Volunteer State Community College from January 2014 to July 2023. Pimentel's career began in the United States Army, where from August 1983 to October 2004, Pimentel trained as an Infantryman and held various roles, including Training NCO and RTO. Pimentel holds a Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate degree in History from Middle Tennessee State University, awarded between 1990 and 2001.
