Leon Shields is an experienced professional with a diverse background in leadership and training. Currently serving as President of the Smoky Mountain Gun Collectors Association Inc. since January 2023, Shields also holds the position of Director at Lenoir City Utilities Board and has been an instructor and deputy at Loudon County Sheriff's Office since August 1996, with expertise in firearms, explosives, and tactical operations. Other roles include Owner of Instructional Concepts, which provides extensive training across various fields, and ownership of Music City Speed & Nostalgia, focusing on vintage car collections. Shields has been involved with Loudon County Fire Rescue as Director and Fire Fighter since January 2000 and actively participates in local governance through various roles, including Chairman of Lenoir City Planning Commission and Co-Chairman of the East Tennessee Planning and Policy Council.
