John Shumate

John Shumate serves as Associate General Counsel for the Tennessee Titans since July 2023, previously holding the position of Staff Legal Counsel. Prior experience includes a tenure at Greenberg Traurig, LLP, where John Shumate worked from October 2016 to February 2023 as a Corporate Associate specializing in Mergers & Acquisitions and Securities, and briefly as a Summer Associate in May 2015. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law (2013-2016) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Yale University (2003-2007). John Shumate completed secondary education at Brophy College Preparatory (1999-2003).
