Jon Salge

Director, College Scouting at Tennessee Titans

Jon Salge enters his third season as Director of College Scouting in 2019, after being promoted to the position in May of 2017.

Salge has been with the Titans for 14 seasons, in a variety of roles. Prior to his promotion, he was a college area scout, handling the schools in Kansas, Nebraska, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas and Oklahoma. He also spent two seasons as a pro scout, evaluating players from the various professional football leagues, performing duties related to tracking and signing free agents.

Additionally, he served as one of the team's advance scouts for upcoming opponents. He spent his first season with the Titans as a scouting assistant, helping with the preparation of the college draft board, college and pro point of attack tapes and management of the pro scouting database. Salge has also been an official timer for the three-cone drill at the NFL Scouting Combine.

In 2007, Salge was selected to attend the first annual NFL Football Operations Career Development Symposium. Before joining the Titans full-time, he worked part-time making film cut-ups for the team's scouting department, while additionally working as a personnel assistant for the city's former Arena Football team, the Nashville Kats.

A graduate of the University of Tennessee with a degree in Sport Management, Salge served as an intern in the school's football recruiting department prior to completing his studies. He later obtained his Master's degree in Sport Management from Middle Tennessee State University.

A native of Franklin, Tenn., and a graduate of Franklin's Centennial High School, he and his wife, Sara, have two sons, Evan and Tyler, and reside in Thompson Station.
