Charles Barker

Charles Barker is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as an Engineering Program Manager at the Tennessee Valley Authority since May 2009, where responsibilities include providing independent oversight of WBN Engineering and contributing to the Browns Ferry 95003 Inspection Readiness Assessment Team. Previously, Charles held the position of System Engineer, overseeing critical reactor coolant, CVCS, and waste disposal systems. Prior to the Tennessee Valley Authority, Charles served in the US Navy from May 1989 to June 2009 as a Submarine Officer on multiple submarines, including USS PITTSBURGH, USS CONNECTICUT, USS NORTH CAROLINA, and USS NEW MEXICO. Academic credentials include a Master of Engineering in Engineering/Industrial Management from Old Dominion University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University.
