Jay Sims

Jay Sims, PE, currently serves as the Manager of Power Operations Cyber Security and Coal and Gas I&C Systems at the Tennessee Valley Authority, overseeing a team of thirteen engineers and program managers on high-impact projects related to energy control systems and cybersecurity. Previously, Jay worked as an Electrical and I&C Engineer at the Raccoon Mountain Pumped Storage Plant, where significant upgrades to Distributed Control Systems were implemented. With early career experience as an Electrical Engineering Specialist at Volkswagen Group and an Electrical Engineer at McKee Foods Corporation, Jay has demonstrated expertise in real-time control systems and automation technologies. Jay holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of South Carolina.
