Scott Hunnewell

Scott Hunnewell has over three decades of experience in the nuclear power industry, currently serving as Vice President of the New Nuclear Program at Tennessee Valley Authority since March 2009. Hunnewell has held various leadership positions, including Vice President of Nuclear Engineering, Plant Manager, and Work Management Director, where significant improvements were made to department performance and engineering standards. Notably, a transition was facilitated from INPO Policy Note 14 to enhanced departmental performance rankings. Previous roles at Tennessee Valley Authority included Director of Engineering, overseeing a large engineering team and successfully managing recovery processes. As Design Engineering Manager, responsibilities encompassed management of multiple engineering groups, and as Systems Engineering Manager, focus was on managing critical systems groups. Earlier in Hunnewell's career, experience included serving as NSSS Manager at Westinghouse Savannah River Site and as Senior Reactor Operator/STA. Hunnewell holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Psychology from the University of Maine.
