Michael Butler is an experienced conservation professional currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the Tennessee Wildlife Federation since May 2002 and as the President of the Tennessee Mitigation Fund, LLC since January 2013. Prior to their current roles, Michael held the positions of Director of Conservation and Staff Wildlife Biologist & Outreach Manager at the Tennessee Wildlife Federation from April 1996 to March 2002. Michael Butler earned a Master of Science in Wildlife, Fish and Wildlands Science and Management from Montana State University-Bozeman and a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife & Fisheries Sciences from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

We bring together and represent the varied interests of people who enjoy the great outdoors. We are a 501-(c)(3) non-profit with a board of directors and a full-time staff headquartered in Nashville.
