Jos Simonis has extensive experience in engineering and project management within the energy and infrastructure sectors. Since August 2008, Simonis has served as Head of Project and Maintenance Engineering at TenneT, where responsibilities include overseeing the preparation of operations for efficiency, safety, and market compliance, while focusing on innovation to double production within three years. Previously, Simonis held positions at TenneT as Manager of New Assets, responsible for the implementation of approximately 250 onshore baseload projects, and Manager of Program Management, overseeing risk management in high-voltage networks through creative solutions. Earlier work experience includes managerial roles at ProRail, eurometaal, and Hydraudyne Cylinders BV, along with technical roles at Philips Machine Fabrieken. Simonis holds degrees in Metallurgy from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht.
