Martijn van den Hengel has a diverse work experience in various roles within the creative industry. Martijn started their career as a Marinier in the Royal Netherlands Marine Corps from November 1992 to October 1994. Following their military service, they worked as a Junior Ontwerper at Catapult creatieve communication from 1998 until 2000. Martijn then became an Art-director at Van der Veer Reclamebureau from 2000 to 2006. Martijn subsequently founded their own company, Artvanti reclamebureau, which later merged with Ninet to form Bureau Brainz. Martijn worked as a designer and advisor in online and offline marketing and communication at Bureau Brainz from 2006 to 2014. Martijn then became a Creative Strategist at VOLT Creatieve Energie from 2014 to 2015. Following that, they worked as a Graphic Designer at InnoMedia.nl from 2015 to 2019. Currently, Martijn holds the position of Art Director at Visymo Universal Search Group, where they have been working since October 2015.
Martijn van den Hengel attended the Grafisch Lyceum Zwolle from 1994 to 1998, where they graduated with a degree in Grafische Vormgeving. During the same period, they also pursued another field of study in Grafische Vormgeving at the same institution. In addition, they obtained a certification in Mediavormgever Grafische Vormgeving from Deltion College, although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
