Shelley joined Tensile at its inception and is the Director of Research, leading the qualitative due diligence of prospective investments and current portfolio companies. Prior to Tensile, Shelley was a Principal at Blum Capital and, prior to Blum, was an Analyst in the manager selection group at Soros Fund Management. Shelley started her investment career as a Research Analyst at Blavin & Company. Shelley was previously a reporter and then an investing editor for Fortune Magazine as well as a producer for CNBC Asia. She earned a BA from Brown University, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
