Marc Gastou, PhD, is a Senior Scientist at TenSixteen Bio since December 2022, where the focus is on developing human and murine models for treating premalignant hematological diseases using CRISPR Cas9 gene editing. Previously, Marc served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Stanford University School of Medicine from July 2018 to November 2022, contributing to the development of genome editing therapies for childhood neurodegenerative diseases, followed by work at the Wernig lab studying fibrosis and desmoid tumors. Earlier experience includes a PhD in Hematology Oncology at Gustave Roussy, where leadership of a research program explored the molecular mechanisms of Diamond Blackfan anemia, and research roles at INSERM and as an intern at both Université de Montpellier 2 and IRD. Education credentials include a PhD from Université Paris Cité and a certification from Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 2022.
