Jiyong Yu

Jiyong Yu is a Senior Architect Engineer at Tenstorrent Inc. since August 2023, previously serving as a Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from August 2017 to August 2023 while pursuing a PhD in Computer Science. Jiyong Yu's expertise includes designing hardware-based mitigations for Spectre attacks during a graduate technical internship at Intel Labs and developing an anti-piracy framework using Intel SGX during a research internship at Microsoft. Additional experience includes evaluating speculative side-channel attacks and defenses at Intel Labs, resulting in a patented defense mechanism. Jiyong Yu obtained a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan from 2013 to 2017.
