Young Uk Yim

Young Uk Yim is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in analog mixed-signal IC design and system engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Principal Engineer at Tenstorrent Inc. since September 2023, Young Uk Yim specializes in SERDES, DDR, GDDR, PCIe, and Ethernet systems. Prior to this role, significant contributions were made at Qualcomm as a Senior Staff Engineer, leading projects in high-speed I/O interface design while also fulfilling managerial responsibilities. Experience at Intel included serving as an Analog Staff Design Engineer focused on next-generation CPUs and DDR IO PHY design. Earlier roles at ARM and Samsung Electronics involved design engineering and software contributions in multi-standard SerDes PHY and self-driving car projects, respectively. Young Uk Yim holds a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, as well as a Master's and Bachelor's degree in the same field from Pohang University of Science and Technology and Korea University.
