Tomas Damerau

Tomas Damerau is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in data science, research, and policy analysis. Currently serving as the Director of Data and Insights at the Tent Partnership for Refugees since October 2025, Tomas previously worked as a Data Scientist at the American Institutes for Research from August 2021 to April 2025. Tomas also held the position of Executive Director of Labor Studies at the Secretaria de Trabajo y Fomento al Empleo, where responsibilities included labor market monitoring and providing technical guidance. Academic experience includes roles as a Teaching Assistant and Researcher at various institutions, culminating in a PhD in Public Policy Analysis from Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas A.C. Notable earlier roles include positions at the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank, focusing on economic research and finance in Latin America.
