David W. McClure has extensive work experience in the field of engineering. David W. began their career at MIT Lincoln Laboratory in 1985 as an engineering technician, where they designed and tested prototype PC boards for radar processing systems. David W. was later promoted to Assistant Staff, where they continued their work in integrated circuit design and testing. After their time at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, McClure worked at Teratech Corporation as an R&D Engineer starting in 1997. In the same year, they also joined Terason as a worker, eventually becoming Director Of Hardware Engineering in 2017. Additionally, McClure worked as an Adjunct Professor at Wentworth Institute of Technology from 1991 to 1992.

David W. McClure's education history includes a range of degrees in the field of electrical engineering and related technologies. David W. obtained an Associate of Science in Electrical Engineering Technologies/Technicians from Wentworth Institute of Technology in 1985. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technologies/Technicians at the same institution from 1985 to 1989. Additionally, they completed a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology from 1989 to 1991. Finally, they furthered their education by earning a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell from 1993 to 1997.
