Dion Chu has a diverse range of work experience in the financial industry, starting with an associate position at D. E. Shaw & Co. in 2006. In 2007, they worked as a senior research assistant at the Federal Reserve Board, where they analyzed macroeconomic and financial issues related to monetary policy. After this, they were a research assistant at the Committee on Capital Markets Regulation, where they worked on independent research dedicated to improving the regulation of U.S. capital markets. Chu then served as an Ec 10 teaching fellow at Harvard University and later worked at Jefferies as a vice president and associate in US rates trading. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as a trader at Capula Investment Management LLP. In 2018, Chu founded Orthogonal Asset Management, LLC, where they were the founding and managing principal and chief investment officer. Currently, they are the founder and CEO of Term Labs, Inc.
Dion Chu earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Cornell University in 2006. From 2009 to 2012, they attended Harvard University and obtained their J.D. degree. Dion also earned Series 63 and Series 7 certifications from FINRA.
