Meraf Eyassu

Meraf Eyassu has a strong background in clinical operations, with extensive experience in various roles at FibroGen, Inc. from 2012 to 2021. Meraf started as a Clinical Research Associate/Sr CRA and progressed to positions such as Clinical Progam Manager, Associate Director Clinical Operations, Director Clinical Operations, Senior Director Clinical Operations, and eventually Executive Director, Clinical Operations. Prior to that, they worked as a Clinical Research Associate at Neovista Inc and MetaProteomics, LLC. Meraf also has experience as a Clinical Research Associate (Decentralized) at PAREXEL INTERNATIONAL and as a Clinical Research Nurse at eStudysite. Before transitioning to the healthcare industry, they worked in technology transfer at CLONTECH. Meraf Eyassu's most recent work experience is as an Executive Director, Clinical Operations at Terns Pharmaceuticals in 2021, and they are currently a Fellow at Cornell Emerging Markets Institute and a Volunteer at Biotech Club at Cornell.

Meraf Eyassu completed their Executive MBA/ MS in Health Care Leadership at Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management from 2021 to 2023. Meraf obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Community and International Health from the University of California, San Francisco between 2005 and 2007. Meraf also holds an MS degree in Molecular Biology from California State University - East Bay. Additionally, they have certifications as a Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRA), a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), and is a registered nurse in the State of California.
