Clinical Director - RN at Terrace Home Health and Hospice

Cindy Thompson, RN, BSN, HCS-D has extensive work experience in various healthcare settings. Cindy started their career as a Pediatric Registered Nurse and Infusion Nurse at Oxford HealthCare & Hospice in 2006. In this role, they provided skilled nursing visits and administered IV infusions, PICC line and Central line care, and IM medications.

From 2008 to 2015, Cindy worked as a Registered Nurse at Springfield Public Schools. Cindy promoted health education, provided health screenings for students, and administered medications according to district policies.

Following this, Cindy joined the Republic R-III School District as a Registered Nurse. Their responsibilities included providing medical care to students, staff, and visitors, conducting health screenings, and administering emergency and as-needed medication.

In 2015, Cindy returned to Oxford HealthCare & Hospice, this time as the Night/Weekend Lead Nurse Coordinator. Cindy supervised and counseled weekend employees, maintained contact with healthcare organizations and the medical community, and served as a liaison with physicians and hospitals.

In 2017, Cindy became a Clinical Supervisor RN at Intrepid USA Healthcare Services. Their role involved facilitating communication and coordination of care between clients, families, caregivers, physicians, and other service providers. Cindy also ensured efficient utilization management and coordinated caregivers through case conferences and scheduling.

Currently, Cindy is working as the Clinical Director - RN at Terrace Home Health and Hospice. In this position, they are responsible for the overall direction of home health clinical services by establishing, implementing, and evaluating goals and objectives that meet quality standards and contribute to the organization's philosophy. Cindy also serves as the Clinical Manager to meet Medicare Conditions of Participation.

Cindy Thompson, RN, BSN, HCS-D, earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Missouri in 2014 and an Associate's Degree in Arts from Ozarks Technical Community College in the same year. Prior to that, they obtained an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Southwest Baptist University in 2003. In 2021, they also obtained certification as a Home Care Coding Specialist in Diagnosis from the Association of Home Care Coding & Compliance.
