Tim Raney

Tim Raney has more than 25 years of experience as a successful entrepreneur and business leader in the Sacramento area, providing a wide range of professional consulting services. As CFO of Terrapin Technology Group, Tim works closely with business partner Nathan Johnson in implementing the company’s strategic business plan. Tim is also owner and founder of Raney Planning & Management, Inc., a highly-regarded environmental and planning consulting firm specializing in CEQA processing, municipal planning, affordable housing and public facilitation. He is also co-founder and CFO of Muni-Media, Inc., a video marketing and promotional services firm.

In addition, Tim has been extensively involved in local government and community issues. He is currently serving as the community development director for the City of Wheatland and previously served as mayor and council member for the City of Citrus Heights. He has been actively involved on the boards of the Sacramento Tree Foundation and the Sacramento Metro Chamber Political Action Committee, as well as with organizations such as the League of California Cities, the Commission on Local Governance for the 21st Century and the Citrus Heights Chamber of Commerce.
