Jeffrey Derenthal

Jeffrey Derenthal is an accomplished Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at TerraPower LLC since May 2021, with extensive experience in design and testing across several high-tech industries. Prior to this role, Jeffrey served as a Project Engineer for Amazon Prime Air, where responsibilities included developing test plans for unmanned aircraft and conducting image quality testing. Jeffrey's background includes significant design work at Systima Technologies, where systems for manned and unmanned aircraft were created, as well as teaching mathematics and science to students as a Teaching Assistant. Additional experience includes project leadership in university-level mechanical engineering initiatives and work in research focusing on aerodynamic interactions. Jeffrey holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Seattle University.
