Mikayla Florez

Mikayla Florez currently serves as a Performance Improvement Specialist at TerraPower since April 2024. Prior to this role, Mikayla worked as an Engineer at Luminant for the Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant from June 2021 to April 2024, and as a System Design Engineer for the SMR-160 project at Holtec International from May 2019 to June 2021. Mikayla began a career in the nuclear industry as an Equipment Operator at Exelon Nuclear's Limerick Generating Station from June 2017 to May 2019. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering from Texas A&M University (2012-2017) and an ongoing Master of Business Administration with a focus on Energy at Texas Christian University's M.J. Neeley School of Business, where coursework began in August 2023 following completion of prior coursework at the same institution from August 2022 to May 2023.
