Rachel Lessard

Rachel Lessard has extensive work experience across various companies. Rachel started their career in 2012 as a Nuclear Submarine Officer in the US Navy, where they held multiple roles managing teams and overseeing operations. During their time in the Navy, they received commendations for their leadership and performance in emergency situations.

In 2015, Rachel joined Amazon and took on roles such as Transportation Execution Area Manager and Shift Manager. Rachel later transitioned into recruiting, focusing on hiring military veterans for Amazon's fulfillment and logistics centers. Rachel was also responsible for creating and recruiting for the Military Pathways Program.

Rachel recently joined TerraPower LLC as a Recruiter in 2021 and quickly progressed to the role of Lead Recruiter in July 2022.

Rachel Lessard earned a Bachelor's of Science degree with a double major in Arabic and International Relations from the United States Naval Academy between 2006 and 2010. In 2010, they attended Navy Nuclear Power School for a year, specializing in Engineering. In 2011, they enrolled in the Navy Prototype School for Nuclear Engineering, completing the program in 2012. Rachel later completed Prospective Nuclear Engineer Officer Training in 2014, earning the title of Qualified Submarine Nuclear Engineer, with a focus on Nuclear Engineering.
