Samuel Verdugo

Samuel Verdugo, PE, is a seasoned engineer specializing in mechanical design and nuclear energy. Currently serving as a Senior Fuel Handling Systems Design Engineer at TerraPower LLC since January 2022, Samuel leads the design and development of innovative fuel handling equipment for the Natrium Demonstration Plant. Previously, as a Mechanical Engineer at Zeta USA, Inc., custom piping and instrumentation systems were designed for pharmaceutical applications. At Holtec International, Samuel acted as a Mechanical Design Technical Sponsor, overseeing equipment design from concept to production and developing crucial technical documentation. Prior experience includes mechanical engineering roles at Inductotherm Corporation, focusing on cooling equipment and field support, and an internship at Temple Allen Industries. Samuel holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics from the University of Pennsylvania.
