La mission de Terres Inovia est d'améliorer la compétitivité des cultures oléagineuses, protéagineuses et du chanvre par l'innovation et une expertise indépendante, en adaptant la production agricole et la valorisation des produits aux différents contextes économiques et aux demandes sociétales. Elle s'intègre dans le cadre d'une interprofession vivante, visant à promouvoir les produits finaux de la filière : l'huile, les tourteaux, les graines et les fibres.

Les principales cultures concernées sont le colza, le tournesol, le soja, le lin oléagineux, le pois, la féverole, le lupin, le pois chiche, la lentille et le chanvre.
