Robin Rickman has a diverse work experience in the nuclear energy industry. Starting in 1974, they spent twenty years in the US Navy, holding various positions related to nuclear power and submarines. In 1994, they transitioned to General Dynamics as a Senior Mechanical Systems Engineering Assistant. Following that, they worked at Commonwealth Edison Company as a Mechanical Maintenance General Foreman for four years.
Rickman then moved on to Bechtel BWXT Idaho, LLC and BNFL, Inc., where they provided operational support for the Advanced Mixed Waste Treatment Facility. Robin later joined Terrestrial Energy, Inc. as Vice President of Business Development.
In 2007, Rickman joined Westinghouse Electric Company as Director of the Small Modular Reactor Program. Their responsibilities included strategic planning, budgeting, performance management, and regulatory issues resolution. Robin also managed projects related to nuclear technology research and development, government services, and nuclear component installation services.

They then went on to study business at the University of New Haven, but it is unclear if a degree was obtained.
