Michael Bellerose

Michael Bellerose has had a long and varied career in software engineering. In 2021, they began working as an Engineering Manager at Territory Foods. From 2017 to 2021, they served as Director of Engineering and Senior Technical Architect at Upside Business Travel. From 2013 to 2017, they were a Software Architect at GEICO, where they delivered a new account management web application and worked on the policy system modernization. From 2011 to 2012, they were a Software Architect at TooLucid and a Software Engineer at 5AM Solutions. From 2009 to 2011, they were a Senior Consultant at Red Hat, where they delivered a site wide redesign consisting of 200+ pages and a new web service API powering GEICO's mobile and social applications. From 2008 to 2009, they worked independently as a Software Developer, developing BuildTopia's new scheduling module that included a Critical Path Management (CPM) algorithm, Gantt chart views, and MS Project integration. From 2004 to 2008, they were Director of Product Development and a Software Developer at BuildTopia. Finally, in 2004 they were a Software Engineer Intern at Lockheed Martin.

Michael Bellerose obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science & Mathematics from the University of Maryland in 2004. In 2013, they obtained the Functional Programming Principles in Scala certification from Coursera.
