Rory MacKean

Rory MacKean has a diverse background in robotics and engineering. Rory started their career in 2002 as a Systems Engineer at MobileRobots, where they worked until 2006. Following this, Rory joined Prototype This! in 2008 as a Guest. Rory then worked at MobileRobots Inc from 2007 to 2010, initially as an R&D Manager and later as a Research Products Manager. In 2010, Rory joined Harvest Automation Inc. as a Robot Software Engineer and stayed with the company until 2015. In the same year, they became the Systems Engineering Manager at Superpedestrian for a brief period. Since 2015, Rory has served as a Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer at Tertill.

Rory MacKean began their education in 1996 at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Rory successfully completed their studies and received a Bachelor of Science (S.B.) degree in 2000. Subsequently, from 2000 to 2002, Rory attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where they further specialized in Mechanical Engineering and obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree. After a brief break from academia, Rory returned to pursue higher education at Tufts University in 2006. Rory completed their Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Engineering Management at Tufts University in 2008.
