Jose Portela

Jose Portela is an experienced telecommunications professional with a background in fiber network design and project management. Currently serving as an Outside Plant Engineer at Tesinc, LLC since March 2019, Jose has worked extensively on fiber network projects for Verizon across various U.S. markets, ensuring quality control in designs and fiber counts. Previously, Jose held positions such as Commercial Manager at Alectron in Colombia, where Jose focused on account management and sales personnel development, and Project Manager at Union Electrica S.A., applying technical design skills while mentoring junior staff. Jose's earlier roles include Chief of Operations at Empresa De Telecomunicaciones de Bogota, managing multiple engineering projects in HFC and Fiber Optic Network, and Quality Coordinating Engineer at Claro Colombia, overseeing network maintenance activities.
