Anand Gali

Anand Gali, P.E., is a Detroit-based mechanical engineer with over 12 years of experience in the automotive, aerospace, and renewable sectors. Currently a Staff Mechanical Engineer at Tesla, they specialize in using first-principles design thinking to solve complex engineering problems. Previously, Anand held key roles at companies such as Lear Corporation, where they led the design of crash-resilient seating systems, and GE Aviation, where they spearheaded failure analysis on aircraft engines. Anand holds a Master’s degree in Materials Science from Dartmouth College and a Master of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Beyond engineering, they are an avid outdoor explorer and a dedicated father, continually curious about emerging technologies and youth education in STEM.
