Jacob Homer is a highly experienced mechanical design engineer with a robust background in various industries, including electric vehicle technology and food processing machinery. Currently serving as a Staff Mechanical Design Engineer at Tesla since November 2018, Jacob specializes in the mechanical design of DC charging connectors and cables for supercharging systems. Previously, Jacob held the position of Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Tesla, as well as a Product Line Engineer at Marlen International, where responsibilities included the design and improvement of food processing machinery. Earlier experience includes developing hydrogen fuel cell backup generators at First Element Energy, LLC, and various engineering roles focusing on vehicle support and air quality monitoring.
