Kaiyuan Tan

Kaiyuan Tan is an accomplished engineer with a strong background in software integration and research. Currently serving as a Senior Software Integration Engineer at Tesla since March 2020, Kaiyuan previously held the position of Firmware Integration Engineer at the same company. Earlier professional experience includes a role as a Research Scientist Intern at ABB and a brief internship as an Electric/Electronic Engineer at EDAG. At Jilin University, Kaiyuan contributed as a Student Research Assistant on a collaborative global project focused on a Reconfigurable Shared-use Mobility System, while also designing a 3D CAD model of the vehicle and developing an air conditioning system. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Boston University and a Bachelor's degree in Vehicle Operation Engineering from Jilin University.
