Kamal Gupta is a seasoned machine learning professional currently serving as a Staff Machine Learning Scientist at Tesla, where the focus is on developing a general-purpose autonomous humanoid robot for executing unsafe or repetitive tasks. With a robust background in research and engineering, Kamal has previously interned at prominent companies including Google and NVIDIA, honing skills in image processing and generative modeling. As a Staff Research Engineer at Netradyne, Kamal contributed to advanced driver assistance systems, and as a co-founder and CTO of Poolka, developed a large-scale AI platform for e-commerce applications. Kamal's extensive academic achievements include a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Maryland and advanced degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
