Kevin Konopka

Kevin Konopka has a diverse background in engineering and management, with significant experience in the automotive and aerospace industries. Currently serving as the Associate Manager for Gigacast Tooling at Tesla, Kevin leads ground teams for Gigacast programs at the Austin Texas factory. Prior roles include Tooling Engineer at Tesla, focusing on lightweight automotive castings, and Tooling Engineer at Nemak, specializing in die cast die design and improvements. Kevin also served as a Design Engineer at Strohwig Industries and an Aerospace Tooling Designer at Global Tooling Systems, working with major aerospace clients. With a foundation in automotive technology as MECP Lead Autotech with Geek Squad, Kevin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing Technology from Lawrence Technological University.
