Kit Schimandle

Kit Schimandle is an experienced technical program manager with a strong background in aerospace engineering and project management. Currently serving as a Staff Technical Program Manager at Astra since November 2022, Kit has held multiple roles overseeing spacecraft engine projects and first-stage vehicle systems. Prior experience at Tesla spanned from December 2016 to November 2022, where Kit progressed from an NPI Engineering Technician to a Sr. Technical Program Manager. Kit's earlier career includes significant HR roles at Trulite Glass & Aluminum Solutions and Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes, as well as technical support within the performing arts. Kit holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering with a focus on astronautics from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
