Simon Qian

Simon Qian is a Battery Materials Engineer at Tesla, a position held since May 2025. Prior to this role, Simon Qian was a PhD Candidate, Master Student, and Research Assistant at the Technical University of Munich from October 2016 to April 2025, focusing on Technical Electrochemistry under the supervision of Prof. Hubert A. Earlier experience includes a position as a Working Student at Alantum Europe GmbH in 2018, where detailed analysis of process data from steam reforming test reactors was conducted. Simon Qian also completed an internship at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in July 2010, documenting injection moulding samples. Educational achievements include a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Chemistry, both from the Technical University of Munich.
